Overview/Description

Google App Maker pages are what users will see when they use your app. Each page has a canvas for your to customize. You can navigate between pages and add various widgets to build your app's UI.

Course 3 is going to give you the tools you need for adding and configuring the different types of pages of your app, for example popup pages for notification windows. There are also many types of widgets you can add from the widget palette allowing you to insert data, images, text and buttons. You will also learn how to use CSS code to customize widgets to suit your app's style and purpose.

Overview/Description

Google App Maker is a G Suite application that you can use for creating your own apps from scratch. This first course will get you familiar with the app interface and the different ways in which you can create, edit and manage the apps you make.

Apps are made up of different elements such as Pages and Scripts which you can modify and duplicate. You can add different widgets to the Page canvas to build your app. Apps that you want to reuse can be exported and apps you no longer need can be deleted.

Overview/Description

Having got to know the basic elements and layout of an app this course will teach how to set up the different data models, fields and datasources that you will need to build the foundation of your app. You can also use the Google App Maker templates to give you a kick start in the right direction.

When you have created data models this will allow you to then start add fields. Fields can be added directly from App Maker or from an existing spreadsheet. You can also create relations between you data by connecting different data models. Or fields can be used to create form and table widgets in your app's pages.
